Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition

It’s going to be one of those posts where I see how many colloquialisms I can fit in. Like, you may notice that I didn’t get an April review done. Well, that would be because May apparently went to hell in a handbasket around here. My recent post Foxhole is just a glimpse into what the month of May was like for us.

The weather was all over the place, including all of the rain we should have gotten in April.

But we had enough sun to get in the pool quite a bit!

We had a lovely Mothers Day with a super cute photo booth at church! Clearly Eleanor was very into the signage.

Renewing our Hershey Gardens Membership was a solid choice, and we celebrated by going with some new friends!

And we FINALLY got the fire pit done!

But the real gem of the month was the completion of A&E Private Playground. In March, my parents had ordered a playset kit. It was supposed to arrive the last weekend in April. Nearly 3 weeks later and it still hadn’t come. At that point, they cancelled the order and ordered all of the pieces individually. I more or less had the makings of a swing set delivered on my front porch over the course of a week.

The following Sunday, my parents and Ethan spent the day working. Of course it was the hottest day of the year thus far. And yes, modifications and extensions are already being planned, because why not!? Needless to say, we are scheduling play date and I am not mad about it.

It was quite the sour patch month. Flipping back and forth between these highlight sweet moment and total survival mode. And peep those sweet puppers we got to play with the other day.
