Docu-Report Download

I was the kid that spent hours and hours binging History Channel documentaries, and documentaries on animals and biologists like Jane Goodall. Then, when YouTube came out, I’d spend hours watching MORE history videos. Do you have a student that’s a visual learner? Have a student that loves documentaries or docu-series, but you want them to count for something for their school?

Similar to students that do a TON of reading, but don’t necessarily “do” anything with their “fun reads,” there’s a really easy way to connect those to what you’re already covering, and give them some actual credit towards those documentaries or doc-series.

In comes, the Docu-Report. It looks, and feels just like my book report download you can find on the Summer Reading Bingo Challenge post.

This helps students not just watch a documentary, but reflect and identify WHAT they are watching. Who/what is the documentary about? What is the time period, key figures, and more! The Docu-Report is the perfect add to the end of your school year when curriculum is wrapping up, but you still want to get some content and learning in that won’t hurt your brain, or your students. Easy enough for upper elementary or middle schoolers, with enough depth for high schoolers to reflect as well.
