Word of the Year

A few years ago I started picking a “word of the year.”

2020 was nurture. The 2019 was grace. 2018 was brave. 2017 was joy.

In 2020 I ironically struggled with a word until it smacked me in the face. For 2021 I knew my word in November of 2020-

I cut social media which has been amazing. The flip side of that is the cost of, what more or less comes to, “free exposure.” I was gaining followers at a consistent rate. I was feeling confident in my content, providing legitimate resources for homeschool moms, moms of SPD, and general “crunchiness.” I was even starting to see some marked return financially.

And when Ethan brought that exact point up I said, “I know this is what I need to do and I know and believe that God will provide in other ways.”

As soon as the words left my mouth I knew that believe was going to be my word for 2021.

I believe that 2021 is going to be a powerful year.

I believe God is going to show up in remarkable ways.

I believe provision will come with faith, perseverance, and consistency.

I believe our marriage will grow stronger.

I believe my children will continue to grow healthy and mighty.

I believe the promises of the Lord will be fulfilled.

I am choosing to believe these things and so much more.
